To support national energy security while reducing carbon emissions, Bomba Grup has reaffirmed its commitment through the development of renewable energy. This commitment was realized through the signing of a strategic partnership between the Bomba Grup and Sembcorp, signed by Mr. Alvin R. Setiawan as representative of the Bomba Grup and Ms. Calestine Lee from Sembcorp on Wednesday (15/10) at the Bomba Group headquarters in the SCBD area of Jakarta, marking an important milestone for green energy collaboration in Indonesia.

As a follow-up to this cooperation, the two companies agreed to form a joint venture (JV) called PT Sembcorp Bomba Energi Nusantara (SBEN). Through this entity, Bomba Grup and Sembcorp will develop a 300-megawatt (MW) solar power plant in South Sumatra, which will be one of the largest solar power plants in Indonesia. The project will also be equipped with a 200 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery energy storage system to maintain the stability of electricity supply and support the reliability of the national energy grid. This strategic collaboration is expected to strengthen the transition to clean energy and national electricity infrastructure, in line with the government's program to achieve sustainable energy independence. Bomba Grup is optimistic that Indonesia can develop into a leading clean energy hub in the Southeast Asia region.
